Seeking God's will and your prayer!

Dear Sisters,
I rarely post here at our blog but this morning, the Holy Spirit seems to insist upon it.
In prayer this morning, I felt for the first time that I understand what God's purpose is in my career and I come to you asking you to pray for me about this new knowledge.  I graduated with an associates degree (ADN) in nursing in 2004 and since that time, the Lord has promoted me far beyond what my education and experience would dictate.  Within 2 years, I was the Clinical Coordinator on my unit, 2 years later, a manager at my current facility.  In the years since I accepted my current position, I have been "groomed" and identified in succession plans to eventually become the Clinical Director (Director of Nursing) at my hospital.  I have been, of course, honored to be considered qualified for such an important role.  However, this would also require returning to school to complete my Bachelor's and then my Master's degree.  This is where things have become unclear for me as I cannot find the motivation or even the desire in my heart to take such a step.  Truthfully, I shouldn't hold my current position lacking a Bachelor's degree.  Anyway, I took this job in 2007 within weeks of my Gramma's passing and officially started in 2008.  We moved into this hours, my grandparents' house, and purchased it in 2008 as well.  In the intervening years, I've felt unmoored professionally.
This morning I was looking out the window at a robin splashing in our birdbath and I felt the still small voice of God.  He gave me a beautiful picture in my mind that I cannot accurately express.  This being the home of my grandparents, it is steeped in the feelings of childhood and the joy and love that I felt here.  The spring warmth and the birdsong in the trees is one of the few things in life that has not changed in the 40 years that I've known this house and I found myself daydreaming of my own grandchildren here.
This is the moment when I believe I understood God's plan.  I believe my career path, which could be called miraculous, has been a means to provide financially in a way that would allow us to pay off our home and to retire early.  I believe that God ordains that this home one day will again be a place for grandchildren to run around the backyard and peek at robins splashing in the birdbath and to find the quiet and simple beauty of what life once was and I claim this for my own grandchildren.  I hesitate to say I KNOW God's plan but yet, I know ;)  If we are wise with our finances, I will not need that advanced degree that it seems I should pursue because I will not longer be working.  I will be here to care for my sons' kids while they work.
Even as I type, my heart is racing a bit and I hear the enemy whispering to me that this is my imagination, that I'm going to look like a fool, that the sisters will wonder who I think I am suddenly surfacing on this blog.  That last part cinched it, I don't believe you would think in such terms and so my spirit knows that satan is lying.  That said, I won't deny that the enemy is warring in my heart and trying to steal my joy at this new understanding.
So I am posting this to state my faith and to ask for your prayer that God would anoint this if it is his will.  It will not be easy financially, even with my current position.  But if it is the Lord's will, He will make the way.  Thank you, for your faithfulness to pray and to uphold that which pleases God even when it is so very old-fashioned to the world.
Love to you all.

dear sara...reading this post ..in fact reading it through twice, it seems to me that it won't without the lord's help be an easy decision!
what a great picture the lord gave to you of that little robin...it reminded me of the song, "his eye is on the sparrow and i know he cares for me"
reading about how you want those future grandchildren to be playing in that big yard and discovering god's great handwork in nature was such delightful reading ...to me, it sounds like a child's dream come true to be in the big yard, free from the outside world and having their gramma and grampa there...oh it would be so nice for you sara but i know that you will want the lords complete will in this and so i am sure that the sisters will be praying!
and we aren't even wondering why you are surfacing on this blog...you have been here before and you have just forgotten, that's all......love you so much and praying that the lord will be guiding your way...he will ahead of you, beside of you and above you all of the time!....love terry

Both you and your sister are feeling strong directional changes in your lives, changes that require great faith and clear hearing from the Lord.
I will pray as I always do, knowing that the Lord will anoint each day as you strive to live in His will.
When those future Grandchildren come, and you care for them - they will be blessed.

If you pray "Thy will be done", that means what happens, is our Lord's will and not yours.

From a human point of view I believe in being educated for the job, so that no one can point fingers and blame you if anything goes wrong.

God's blessings last unto the thousand generation to those who love and obey him.

This is what you cam build on. God has a purpose for your life. It just might reach beyond your own family.

He'll show you, as he has opened heavy doors until now, he says he has set before you an open door, and no one can close it.
God luck, continuing being his servant.

There is a beautiful peace in your words and a deep sense of connection for me. God's love and faithfulness is as unchanging as the warmth of springtime and birdsong in the trees and my dear sweet sister will remain so long beyond forty years...save these words for your grandchildren to read one day...as His plan will unfold and become real in their lives, just as it has yours. Much love and prayers.

Thank you all for joining me as I seek after God. And I feel I should explain, when I said I shouldn't have my job without a Bachelor's degree, I did not mean to imply I was not qualified for it. I meant I was, with God's favor, quickly promoted and enabled to achieve a position that is rare without a Bachlor's degree. Being a nurse, I felt it important to clarify. Again, thank you and much love.

Sara, I read your words and feel the peaceful anointing of the Holy Spirit even as I read. I won't presume to know God's will for your life, but I so know that deep settled peace that passes all understanding when you KNOW the Lord is speaking to you and when you KNOW He is leading you in a given path. Exactly where that path will end, I cannot tell except that I know your heart seeks only to know and do His will. I am praying with you and for you. I sense in you the surety that comes with knowing when you are safe in the hands of a loving Father who is gently guiding you into His pathways and holding you safe there. Wherever this path ends, you will be in His hands and He will be holding you close. So, go ahead. Dream those dreams of watching your grandchildren running around your yard and your house and making forever memories. God gives us dreams that sometimes change as we go and sometimes are realized just as we dreamed they would be. I love you sweet Sara. Dream your dreams and trust the Lord. He is the maker of dreams that come true every day.

You have somehow managed to be content at home .. to me you seem a homemaker .. with a side job. Your heart is at home. Follow your heart...
19 “Do not lay up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy and where thieves break in and steal; 20 but lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust destroys and where thieves do not break in and steal. 21 For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.

Those grandbabies will be your treasure in heaven .. but the work is here on earth.

I can see you doing this .. and being very content to know this world is wicked and our grandchildren need the extra nurturing that loving grandparents can impart.

Praying for God's complete peace.
