Waiting to Hear From the Next Sister!

.........do you recognize dear sisters that blot of red?...well yesterday the little red car's nose was all out of joint just because the package is on its way to another sister and that not once did we take the picture it wanted and so un be known to me that bernie fellow sneaked out with my camera and MY norwegian sock and took this picture!....and so i guess the little red car got its way and i guess the little red car feels pretty smug at the moment!...... ...... because that bernie fellow was such a good sport, the little red car insisted that i take a picture of the two of them.....alas!...little does that poor fellow know that those socks needed a good washing and alas!...so do his hands now!.... ........and here i sit a little sadly in the sunshine, wearing my precious necklace and just hoping and praying that the sock will fly quickly to the next sister and i am hoping and praying that soon we will be reading her posts!!......oh how i love all of my sisters!.....love terry

The Best Till the Last

........as i look back to the last week with the sisterhood sock, i find that my heart has been made very happy and i will look forward to sending it off to another sister and hoping that the mail will be as kind to her as it was to me...it took only about three days for that norwegian sisterhood sock to travel from the far side of the sea to canada!...'' ..............yesterday when i was at dad and mom goldens, dad golden was telling me about george jones passing away and he seemed pretty sad about it...and so was i...i was so happy to read in donna's facebook that george, in his later years became a christian, and so i googled and found this........"George Jones finds religion" Share on print Share on facebook Share on myspace Share on twitter There is hope for all of us. “They said it would never happen – but hard-drinkin’, cussin’ country giant George Jones is telling pals that he’s found God. ‘George always told his drinking buddies he’d be saved when Hell freezes over,’ says a pal. ‘Now it’s happened. George has found religion and he’s a changed man. He’s saying that he’s seen the light and been born again. I guess the devil must be feeling pretty chilly.’ The country great known as Possum in the music world – has been growing more spiritual since he cheated death when his Lexus smashed into a concrete bridge on Tennessee’s Highway 96 in March 1999. According to his pals, George consulted noted Tennessee preacher Vestal Goodman. ‘George called her personally’, says an insider. “He asked her to visit his home to discuss the Lord because he had a life-changing experience and believed he was born again.” It is notable that the commentator in this particular article used the word religion, but we disagree and say that George Jones did not find religion, but he found Christ who gave him the gift of salvation and everlasting life. It is this reason that the Word of God is clear in 2 Corinthians 5:17: “Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.” Make sure you have a similar experience because without it you will never see God. Barry R Smith, 20 Jul 2001 .......................what a loving and forgiving god we have and even though we don't deserve it, he has reached down his hand and taken us in!......................anyway the reason i have titled this post,"the best till the last" is because as i was searching you tube at dad golden's request, i cane upon this song that loretta lyn sings..i remember as a teenager hearing and so i told dad golden, "now dad, you are going to have to listen to the words of this song".....and i am happy to say that he did...... usually he gets impatient but this time he listened to the whole song.....tell me sisters, don't you think that this was the best thing that dad golden could hear?.... ........... thank you dear sisters for considering me your friend and thank you for all of your love for bernie and me and for my family....i bless the day that mrs. mac did ever create such a group of christian sisters who love and respect each other....a group where there are no clicks!!!......love terry

My Precious Gift

in the precious package that felisol had sent was this wrapped up box and i waited with anticipation to open it......i was very careful when i unwrapped it because i wanted to save the pretty paper and the pink ribbon! ...inside the wrapping i found this...a small shiny black jewelry box case and inside that shiny black jewelry box case was...... the prettiest and most delicate necklace i have ever seen.....there was a tiny little heart that glittered with small crystals......so so pretty! alas, i have such a fat neck that the chain would not go around..ha!...so for a lot of this week bernie and i went from store to store looking for one to chain me up!.....well this evening when i was at dad goldens, mom golden came home from good will store where grace takes her almost every friday..[mom goldens favourite store!].....unfortunately she had left behind a bag at the store.....i told her that i would not mind to go and pick it up and so i did and voila!....i found the exact matching golden chain there and bernie bought it for me and now i will be able to wear the necklace with its little heart that my bestest friend gave to me and i will be chained by my bestest husband......for sure and what a blessed girl i am, eh? tomorrow will be my last post and then i shall send the package and the new sock to the next sister.....i will go to sleep tonight with this verse that felisol has sent...a verse that wraps up a roll of sweet mint candies..........good night my beloved sisters and thank you so much mrs. mac for all the joy that you have given to us, creating such a great adventure........even those sisters that are so far away and those sisters that find they are just unable to come to the sister reunions, they can all participate in these scarf sister adventures and be such a blessing and encouragement to us all!............love terry

And it shall come to pass, when I bring a cloud over the earth, that the bow shall be seen in the cloud:

this morning when i awoke from a real good sleep, i felt that this was the beginning of a brand new happy day! last night, i never went to prayer meeting and stayed home to rest instead...bernie went. i am a real misbehavior sometimes though at the prayer meeting because when everybody's eyes are closed, well you know i always have my camera with me and that is when i sneakily snap a few pictures! here "gramma janice" hugs her little grandaughter...now how could i help but take that picture?...janice has prayed for each of her three children who are now grown and mothers and fathers and now she is praying not only for her own grandchildren but also for all of the sunday school children...all three of her children were in my sunday school class years ago and now janice is teaching that class of 3 and 4 years old. this is a three generation photo...darren who is holding his and lori's latest baby boy is the son of francis, the lady i told you about yesterday,,,sitting with him is his other little boy and his father-in-law....so this i would think is a three generation. Psalm 79:13 So we thy people and sheep of thy pasture will give thee thanks for ever: we will shew forth thy praise to all generations. darren used to be in my class when he was three and four years old and now he is the sunday school superintendent...i feel really old! this is a sweet picture. here is my bernie following along with the bible study after all the prayers are over for now. children singing praises to the lord jesus... one cute little dolly. five months old following along with the singing at sunday night gospel meeting. here she is looking just like her daddy, scotty who yes!..was in my sunday school class,,,i don't know where all the years have gone!...... ..............well the rest certainly did me good...this morning after bernie and i went to tim hortons where bernie always wants a bowl of oatmeal and coffee, we slipped over to the grocery store on the same plaza where we were going to do some shopping for dad golden and who did we see but dad golden himself..he had gone shopping to get the ice cream bars that he gives to all the grandchildren that come a visiting!...bernie was so happy to see this...he thinks that dad golden should be getting out more than he has been doing. ....at the end of a perfect day in the eveining god gave this beautiful rainbow to bernie and me and whenever i see a rainbow with all its wonderful colours, i feel the hope that god gives us!...the hope of heaven through the gift of his own beloved son to us!......hope hope hope! and tommorrow these sisterhood socks that i am wearing, lord willing will be walking strong in the lord and bringing my feet into the paths of righteousness!..............i love all of my sisters..............love terry

Watching for the Morning

Sleepless in Haugesund.
I've checked the Scarf Sister's blog a dozen times.
Wondering how my friend Terry is.
She so seldom says anything about her own feelings or burdens, so when she mildly complains, I am wide awake.
Praying. Praying. Praying.
A word came into my mind while I was "watching for the morning", and I felt like sharing.

Psalm 130

130 Out of the depths have I cried unto thee, O Lord.
Lord, hear my voice: let thine ears be attentive to the voice of my supplications.
If thou, Lord, shouldest mark iniquities, O Lord, who shall stand?
But there is forgiveness with thee, that thou mayest be feared.
I wait for the Lord, my soul doth wait, and in his word do I hope.
My soul waiteth for the Lord more than they that watch for the morning: I say, more than they that watch for the morning.
Let Israel hope in the Lord: for with the Lord there is mercy, and with him is plenteous redemption.
And he shall redeem Israel from all his iniquities.

The Faithfulness of the Lord Jesus

these are the words under the video....... Published on 7 Mar 2013 "These beautiful feet were sent in from missionaries who are sharing the gospel of Jesus Christ on foreign lands. The word of God calls these feet beautiful, because they carry the Good News with them. They may be weathered and torn, but Jesus calls them beautiful. Missions is the feet of those who go, the hands of those who give, the knees of those who pray and the heart of God! Our God is a missional God and his 'Missio Dei' is a calling for all of us to participate in the Great Commission!" .........when i saw this on you tube, it touched my heart very deeply......on this my fifth day of wearing the sisterhood sock, i feel so inadequate of the mission that i should be on, obeying the lord jesus in speaking to people about being ready to meet the lord.... i have failed and yet the lord never fails......a few weeks ago one of our beloved political citizens passed away and i remembered the chance that i had to mail him a book full of the gospel.......it was given to me by one of the kids he went to high school with and he wanted me to give it to peter and i never did send it......this week in the newspaper, there was a letter written to the editor and this is what it said ......."i read The Tribune’s “The Market won’t be the same,” by Joe Barkovich. Thanks, Joe, you always tell it best. The words “God love him, God love him,” jumped out at me. Peter was my friend, too. I recalled a bus load of members from Faith Tabernacle were travelling to Buffalo for the Benny Hinn Crusade. We stopped at Fitch Street Plaza. I went into the drugstore and met my friend Peter Kormos. After our greeting I said, “Peter, do you know Jesus Christ, as your personal Lord and Saviour?” He said, “Yes I do.” I said, “God Bless you.” I know who I am, and where I am going. I will see Peter again." Mary Durant Welland...... so there it was..someone or many maybe had given to mr. kormos the word of the gospel and he took it in!...even though sometimes his people have failed, the lord jesus NEVER fails! ....so many times felisol has encouraged me that even in the last moments of a persons' life god has always given he or she a chance to take him...just like the thierf on the cross did...even though he had be berating the lord along with the other thief, he had a change of heart and repented... thank you sisters for listening to me...i feel a little down hearted for some reason this evening but i will hopefully be dancing in my socks tomorrow....i love you all...love terry

If Ye Love One Another

Yesterday, just after i had finished my previous post, we got a phone call from one of our church friends....she told us to come right over as she had something for us, so into the little red car we jumped and sped off. i noticed when we arrived that miss francis had a garden in full bloom,,,yellow daffodils all over the place!...just look at this little bouquet resting in the heart shaped sunlight! although dear miss francis has an ailing mother in the hospital who she visits every day, she had taken the time to make my ailing bernie a basket full of goodies...this is what i call love and that is why i put here the versed mints that felisol sent to me from norway. we headed to the back yard where the lady of the house was going to pick a bouquet of flowers for the ailing mrs. golden! she fairly ran! until she found the garden of flowering daffodils that she wanted my heart fairly melted when i saw this sweet lady picking for mom golden a sweet bouquet of flowers! we took a quick picture of our dear christian friends joe and frnacis....and then, the little red car prepared..... to take us and the bright yellow daffodils to mom golden... Matthew 25:40 And the King shall answer and say unto them, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me i just got home from mom goldens and so i thought i would slip this picture in.....love terry

A Happy Day For Diane and a Happy Day for Her Sisters

monday, april 22nd is a nice sunny day here in southern, ontario and i really hope that it is the same in tennessee where our beloved sister, diane is marrying her sweetheart, jerry....... now the little red car and bernie wanted a piece of the action, so here they are sending many happy wishes to the happy couple!......and as i am shooting this picture. i am doing a little happy dance, wearing my sisterhood socks! .......now the little red car insisted that we send diane and jerry some flowers, but i aaid, "would you just LOOK at that barren garden you silly little red car?" "well YOU just look!..i see at least two flowers!" well, i DID find one scrawny yellow daffodil, the only one that blossomed this year! alas!,the little red car was right and i was wrong i guess........just look at what i found!... this sweet little white bouquet....it even had the two sweethearts names on it AND the date of the glorious occasion...well WHATEVER?...the red car had a smug look on its face and then i remembered the noise going on last night.....hmmmm....i never knew that the guy could even write! this little fella' wondered about all the commotion going on! so we told him and now his wishes are on their way to tennessee and he reminded me of what the lord jesus thinks of the whole thing... Proverbs 18:22 Whoso findeth a wife findeth a good thing, and obtaineth favour of the Lord. .....Proverbs 3:15 She is more precious than rubies: and all the things thou canst desire are not to be compared unto her.......... bernie and i pray for a blessed day for you and jerry, diane.....and tell that jerry that he has gained many beautiful sister-in-laws!.............love bernie, terry , the little red car and one sweet southern ontario robin..........XOXOXOXO

Visiting Mom and Dad Golden on Sunday

this morning when i went to sunday school, i put on my sister hood socks and my fancy pink striped leg warmers...it was all right because my boots hid them all very well! little did the children know what a crazy old gal i am!...ha! actually they DO know how crazy i am but they love me anyway! after the little red car and i had dropped off the kids at home, we headed to mom and dad goldens where bernie and dad golden had the roast beef dinner all prepared and all i had to do was to serve it out...while mom golden and bernie relaxed poor old dad golden tidied up...of course berne HAD washed and dried all the dishes and i had made out dad golden's pill box for the week....but just take a gander at mom golden...one lady of leisure she surely is...they were both very happy.....bernie had missed two weeks coming over and so they were glad to see him... here he is! doesn't look too sick to me! ...and here is mom golden in her comfy warm blue housecoat.... and here is poor dad golden cleaning up the mess..ha! thank you so much for the pretty doilies felisol!.................hope you sisters like my tale!,,,five more days...five more posts!....love terry

The Norwegian Socks' First Day Here

this is the norwegian sock that flew all the way over from the far side of the sea! when felisol sent me the scarf sister sock, i knew it must be norwegian!...i do have a pair of hand knitted norwegian socks made by her dear mother and THEY are my treasure too. i put on the sock and told bernie i must be going but i took this picture of my socked foot beside bernie's socked foot...bernie is the first person in the day that i see and so i guess that was the proper thing to do,eh? the sock and i and the little red car had to go to mom and dad goldens' to make their supper....now i had no time at all to be taking the photo that the little red car insisted on my doing and so i just told that car that it would have to wait until tomorrow! i was wearing the little norwegian sister scok as i made a meal for my dear parents and then i asked dad golden to stand beside me for a photo shot...dad golden is always so willing!!!....and so is. mom golden! for the next six days i will doing two of the things that the lord jesus wants me to do and this is it Deuteronomy 5:16 Honour thy father and thy mother, as the Lord thy God hath commanded thee; that thy days may be prolonged, and that it may go well with thee, in the land which the Lord thy God giveth thee. .....1 Timothy 3:11 Even so must their wives be grave, not slanderers, sober, faithful in all things. ...........you know what?....these are two commandments that are not hard to follow.... love terry
