The Best Till the Last
..............yesterday when i was at dad and mom goldens, dad golden was telling me about george jones passing away and he seemed pretty sad about it...and so was i...i was so happy to read in donna's facebook that george, in his later years became a christian, and so i googled and found this........"George Jones finds religion"
Share on print Share on facebook Share on myspace Share on twitter
There is hope for all of us.
“They said it would never happen – but hard-drinkin’, cussin’ country giant George Jones is telling pals that he’s found God.
‘George always told his drinking buddies he’d be saved when Hell freezes over,’ says a pal. ‘Now it’s happened. George has found religion and he’s a changed man. He’s saying that he’s seen the light and been born again. I guess the devil must be feeling pretty chilly.’
The country great known as Possum in the music world – has been growing more spiritual since he cheated death when his Lexus smashed into a concrete bridge on Tennessee’s Highway 96 in March 1999.
According to his pals, George consulted noted Tennessee preacher Vestal Goodman.
‘George called her personally’, says an insider. “He asked her to visit his home to discuss the Lord because he had a life-changing experience and believed he was born again.”
It is notable that the commentator in this particular article used the word religion, but we disagree and say that George Jones did not find religion, but he found Christ who gave him the gift of salvation and everlasting life.
It is this reason that the Word of God is clear in 2 Corinthians 5:17: “Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.”
Make sure you have a similar experience because without it you will never see God.

.......................what a loving and forgiving god we have and even though we don't deserve it, he has reached down his hand and taken us in!......................anyway the reason i have titled this post,"the best till the last" is because as i was searching you tube at dad golden's request, i cane upon this song that loretta lyn sings..i remember as a teenager hearing and so i told dad golden, "now dad, you are going to have to listen to the words of this song".....and i am happy to say that he did...... usually he gets impatient but this time he listened to the whole song.....tell me sisters, don't you think that this was the best thing that dad golden could hear?....
...........
thank you dear sisters for considering me your friend and thank you for all of your love for bernie and me and for my family....i bless the day that mrs. mac did ever create such a group of christian sisters who love and respect each other....a group where there are no clicks!!!......love terry

My Precious Gift

And it shall come to pass, when I bring a cloud over the earth, that the bow shall be seen in the cloud:
this morning when i awoke from a real good sleep, i felt that this was the beginning of a brand new happy day!
last night, i never went to prayer meeting and stayed home to rest instead...bernie went.
i am a real misbehavior sometimes though at the prayer meeting because when everybody's eyes are closed, well you know i always have my camera with me and that is when i sneakily snap a few pictures!
here "gramma janice" hugs her little grandaughter...now how could i help but take that picture?...janice has prayed for each of her three children who are now grown and mothers and fathers and now she is praying not only for her own grandchildren but also for all of the sunday school children...all three of her children were in my sunday school class years ago and now janice is teaching that class of 3 and 4 years old.
this is a three generation photo...darren who is holding his and lori's latest baby boy is the son of francis, the lady i told you about yesterday,,,sitting with him is his other little boy and his father-in-law....so this i would think is a three generation.
Psalm 79:13
So we thy people and sheep of thy pasture will give thee thanks for ever: we will shew forth thy praise to all generations.
darren used to be in my class when he was three and four years old and now he is the sunday school superintendent...i feel really old!
this is a sweet picture.
here is my bernie following along with the bible study after all the prayers are over for now.
children singing praises to the lord jesus...
one cute little dolly. five months old following along with the singing at sunday night gospel meeting.
here she is looking just like her daddy, scotty who yes!..was in my sunday school class,,,i don't know where all the years have gone!......
..............well the rest certainly did me good...this morning after bernie and i went to tim hortons where bernie always wants a bowl of oatmeal and coffee, we slipped over to the grocery store on the same plaza where we were going to do some shopping for dad golden and who did we see but dad golden himself..he had gone shopping to get the ice cream bars that he gives to all the grandchildren that come a visiting!...bernie was so happy to see this...he thinks that dad golden should be getting out more than he has been doing.
....at the end of a perfect day in the eveining god gave this beautiful rainbow to bernie and me and whenever i see a rainbow with all its wonderful colours, i feel the hope that god gives us!...the hope of heaven through the gift of his own beloved son to us!......hope hope hope!
and tommorrow these sisterhood socks that i am wearing, lord willing will be walking strong in the lord and bringing my feet into the paths of righteousness!..............i love all of my sisters..............love terry
Watching for the Morning
Sleepless in Haugesund.
I've checked the Scarf Sister's blog a dozen times.
Wondering how my friend Terry is.
She so seldom says anything about her own feelings or burdens, so when she mildly complains, I am wide awake.
Praying. Praying. Praying.
A word came into my mind while I was "watching for the morning", and I felt like sharing.
Psalm 130
130 Out of the depths have I cried unto thee, O Lord.
2 Lord, hear my voice: let thine ears be attentive to the voice of my supplications.3 If thou, Lord, shouldest mark iniquities, O Lord, who shall stand?
4 But there is forgiveness with thee, that thou mayest be feared.
5 I wait for the Lord, my soul doth wait, and in his word do I hope.
6 My soul waiteth for the Lord more than they that watch for the morning: I say, more than they that watch for the morning.
7 Let Israel hope in the Lord: for with the Lord there is mercy, and with him is plenteous redemption.
8 And he shall redeem Israel from all his iniquities.

The Faithfulness of the Lord Jesus
these are the words under the video.......
Published on 7 Mar 2013
"These beautiful feet were sent in from missionaries who are sharing the gospel of Jesus Christ on foreign lands.
The word of God calls these feet beautiful, because they carry the Good News with them. They may be weathered and torn, but Jesus calls them beautiful.
Missions is the feet of those who go, the hands of those who give, the knees of those who pray and the heart of God! Our God is a missional God and his 'Missio Dei' is a calling for all of us to participate in the Great Commission!"
.........when i saw this on you tube, it touched my heart very deeply......on this my fifth day of wearing the sisterhood sock, i feel so inadequate of the mission that i should be on, obeying the lord jesus in speaking to people about being ready to meet the lord....
i have failed and yet the lord never fails......a few weeks ago one of our beloved political citizens passed away and i remembered the chance that i had to mail him a book full of the gospel.......it was given to me by one of the kids he went to high school with and he wanted me to give it to peter and i never did send it......this week in the newspaper, there was a letter written to the editor and this is what it said
......."i read The Tribune’s “The Market won’t be the same,” by Joe Barkovich. Thanks, Joe, you always tell it best.
The words “God love him, God love him,” jumped out at me. Peter was my friend, too. I recalled a bus load of members from Faith Tabernacle were travelling to Buffalo for the Benny Hinn Crusade. We stopped at Fitch Street Plaza. I went into the drugstore and met my friend Peter Kormos. After our greeting I said, “Peter, do you know Jesus Christ, as your personal Lord and Saviour?”
He said, “Yes I do.” I said, “God Bless you.”
I know who I am, and where I am going. I will see Peter again."
Mary Durant
Welland......
so there it was..someone or many maybe had given to mr. kormos the word of the gospel and he took it in!...even though sometimes his people have failed, the lord jesus NEVER fails!
....so many times felisol has encouraged me that even in the last moments of a persons'
life god has always given he or she a chance to take him...just like the thierf on the cross did...even though he had be berating the lord along with the other thief, he had a change of heart and repented...
thank you sisters for listening to me...i feel a little down hearted for some reason this evening but i will hopefully be dancing in my socks tomorrow....i love you all...love terry
