Paul writes about all the things he has on "his plate", and he adds, to this comes the daily overload. These last ten years I have felt overloaded to that extent the only place I was free was in my bed. (Where I slept with the cell phone by my side.) There's no words beautiful enough to describe how supportive and understanding Gunnar has been throughout the years.
I could not have been of any use for my parents had he not stood faithfully by my side and figuratively carried me and my parents much of the way.
After Christmas I have had a backlash, a reaction had to come and it has sent me to bed, at least three times a day. I haven't yet written Christmas cards, nor Easter Cards. I cannot bother to be ashamed, even though I always want to do the right things. There's simply no time or power left in my battery for ordinary curtsy or good manners. I have learned to value the little big things in life. I do so appreciate my wake hours with Gunnar and Serina. Sharing a meal, sitting on the terrace, attending the odd concert, service, flea market or, best of all, watching the sunset with cameras in our hands.
I'm just home from a sundown show. The great sky-painter was the eminent director, nobody does it better. "And we're only inhabiting one of his million of balls," Gunnar said.
In the magic moment as the sun disappeared under the horizon all nature stood still in awe. Birds, dogs and human alike held their breath.
(I was not allowed to tell that Gunnar shot this and the following photo)
Then the lights were turn on, white, green, yellow and red, so that no seafarer should get lost along the treachery waters along the coast. No wayfaring men shall get lost.
This was his voice today.
Isaiah 35
King James Version (KJV)
35 The wilderness and the solitary place shall be glad for them; and the desert shall rejoice, and blossom as the rose.
2 It
shall blossom abundantly, and rejoice even with joy and singing: the
glory of Lebanon shall be given unto it, the excellency of Carmel and
Sharon, they shall see the glory of the Lord, and the excellency of our God.3 Strengthen ye the weak hands, and confirm the feeble knees.
4 Say to them that are of a fearful heart, Be strong, fear not: behold, your God will come with vengeance, even God with a recompence; he will come and save you.
5 Then the eyes of the blind shall be opened, and the ears of the deaf shall be unstopped.
6 Then shall the lame man leap as an hart, and the tongue of the dumb sing: for in the wilderness shall waters break out, and streams in the desert.
7 And the parched ground shall become a pool, and the thirsty land springs of water: in the habitation of dragons, where each lay, shall be grass with reeds and rushes.
8 And an highway shall be there, and a way, and it shall be called The way of holiness; the unclean shall not pass over it; but it shall be for those: the wayfaring men, though fools, shall not err therein.
9 No lion shall be there, nor any ravenous beast shall go up thereon, it shall not be found there; but the redeemed shall walk there:
10 And the ransomed of the Lord shall return, and come to Zion with songs and everlasting joy upon their heads: they shall obtain joy and gladness, and sorrow and sighing shall flee away.
I also found sheet music to "Never fades the Name of Jesus."

dear felisol..reading this post and looking at the beautiful sunset pictures on the sea makes me feel so at peace..these are so nice and the fact that you travel with your cameras, you never missed these pictures.
i never thought that the sea could be so calm although i do remember that the lord jesus calmed the sea one time, so i guess it is true, eh?
just to think that the birds hushed their singing as that glorious light slipped out of sight an went to bed.
felisol, i wouldn't mind to go to bed and rest a few tmes a day and i really should...but it just seems like the earth is spinning too fast sometimes.
bernie is a big help felisol...he does the laundry..ha!..dad golden is a big help to mom golden..he makes her breakfast and her cups of tea during the day!
i have always known felisol that gunnar is very special and loved your mom with a deep love!..and mom ljung loved him!....felisol, if you don't think that i am being too forward...., in your blog you put a young picture of your sweetheart in a post...do you think that you can include it here during your sock adventure...it is sooooooo nice!
that is such a beautiful passage here, in isaiah..you know i think that whenever i read it before, there were so many precious things that i missed...just to think that we are on the king's highway...thank you so much for your encouraging words...so what do you think my dearest friend....you are doing a little big service for your master!...i love you..love terry
Dearestest Terry,
You are a great cheerleader. Following up all my various angles of writing, aways finding the best. It's a great encouragement.
About my time in bed, it's not what I choose to do, it's what I'm forced to do. My days become so short, and I hate it when I actually loose so much of my life. I try to make the best out of it though.
Smiling, saying I'm lucky to have a good bed to lay down in, and being happy to be up again, when my limbs can carry me. There are so many things people take for granted, which are a really blessing.
aw felisol...i know that it is not your choice to having to rest..if it were up to you, you would rather be up and around more that's for sure!..it is great that even when you are in bed, you are filling your days for the lord and even in your weakness are being a great encourager of so many people and so many sisters!....that's why everybody loves you a lot....love terry
This post brings tears to my eyes..why I cannot tell but that is the way of many of your posts...deep calls to deep I suppose....I love that you wore your socks out into the world to see His sunset....such view of the heavenlies!
I love the verse about the highway that He is and about walking in that way....with songs of joy and gladness...Amen
Dear Cheryl.
I use to read your posts several times. I aways find something new in them.
Your January post is also about roads. The road you have lived and showed your children.
"."you have prepared the way for Me in the hearts of your children, just like John did, and they will see that all you have said about Me is true."
What a powerful message.
Thank you, sweet sister..I am sorry I don't write much anymore....it seems this was a season...perhaps one day it will come round again. I even enjoy going back and re-reading my own posts....it must have been something the Lord was doing in me at the time...I wish it would come round again....
Dearest Cheryl,
your posts have so much "soul food" in them, they are the only ones I come back and read over and over again.
Every time I get something new and uplifting.
The Lord is using you, and I know you will continue to spread blessing to all who come searching. Living water at your house!
Reading this post was like getting a warm hug. Beautiful Verse .. Isaiah 35.
The Sky Painter....That is a new name I will now have for my Lord.... This was a beautiful post, filled with beautiful photographs of God's creation....and I love what Gunnar said...that we are only inhabiting one of the millions of spheres in space!
