thankful for praying friends ....

my mom (the ever talented tapestry maker!) made this for me over 30 years ago ... she wanted to remind me that she was always praying for me ...

women and praying ... praying and women ... i think it's a wonderful gift GOD has given us ... and that is why i so appreciate my scarf sisters ... ladies who uphold each other in prayer, reserving judgement -  always ready to pray for each others needs  ...

for those just popping by this blog ... i want you to know that prayer isn't an exclusive thing, reserved only for special groups and special people ... it is real "free speech" ... to our Maker ... who longs to hear from us ... it is redeeming speech, through JESUS - who wants to save us ... it is a life changer - in all ways ...

But Jesus often withdrew to lonely places and prayed.  Luke 5:16

Very early in the morning, while it was still dark, Jesus got up, left the house and went off to a solitary place, where he prayed.  Mark 1:35

My favorite thing about my Scarf Sisters is that I can ask and they will pray at a moments notice... it really makes a difference too...and we have a written record of some mighty things that God has done through prayers answered...right on our FB page. Women praying are powerful...No..the GOD of praying women is powerful!

My first powerful and moving experience with cyber space praying was when Pat, Trish, Terry, Margie gathered on Wednesdays to pray for Arlene. It was not the women per se or the group, but the GOD who guided these women. So yes Cheryl, the God of praying women is powerful and by them I am richly blessed.

I ditto to those above.
I am not a courageous woman, when it comes to personal matters, I'm rather shy.
God led me to Terry and further to this wonderful, faithful ring of praying women.
It's been the blessing of my life.
Even though there's a 9 hour time difference between me and Terry,I've almost got response within minutes on the Scarf Sister face-book site.
You are a prove that God is near.
Always.

you are so right saija..i think that prayer s another gift that the lord has given to us...when i think of praying woman, i think of samuel's mother and how she prayed for him and then she gave him to the lord...she made him a coat every year and it was probably woven as intrictly as this little tapestry that your mom made for you...a mother's heart is a praying heart for sure..
i have no children to pray for but i do have a prayer child, felisol's daughter serina and my heart is full of prayers for dad golden that he will be settled whether he is saved or not..
you know that the lord will answer all of our prayers...remember that short prayer from peter when he was sinking into the water, "lord save me!"...and so the lord did and the short prayer from the thief "lord remember me when thou comest into thy kingdom"..and one of the nicest prayers ever, from the publican, "lord be merciful to me a sinner!"...now we will see these three in heaven for sure!...just because the lord jesus answers prayers
i am so glad to have read this post saija...you have encouraged me!...love terry
