God's Word is always relevant ...

tidbits ... can also be very filling!

every morning, i start my day off with reading a devotional ... or two ... we are so very blessed to be living at a time when there are excellent ones readily available ... words written by people who love JESUS, and want to walk as HE walked ... of course, reading the bible is #1 ... but i love to read short devotionals - tucked into various spots of my day ... to get my mind going in the right direction ...

we live in a time when GOD's Word can be found everywhere ... we can read the bible online (i did that last week, while waiting to do my bloodwork at the lab) ... or listen to it on some device ... more than any other generation, we have an overflowing abundance of biblical literature ... we don't have an excuse for not reading/studying GOD's Word ...

from tidbits in devotionals - to a full meal in the Holy Word of God ... it is all there for us ... may we be women of the Word ...

blessings on my praying sisters, who encourage me with their Godly example ...

"Study to show thyself approved unto God, a workman who needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth."   2 Timothy 2:15

No excuses! Like you said, it's more available then ever in our lives. I'm so thankful for that. I was listening to teaching on my phone the other day...isn't that awesome!
I've enjoyed every tidbit from your heart....someday maybe we will meet and share a real Timbit!

we ARE so blessed saija!.
you know what?..mr. fowler gave bernie and me a "choice gleanings" day by day devotional..on the 25th and now we had better start to read it together, bernie and i..it is the 29th. today..four days have been wasted!..hopefully we will keep it up!
the verse that you put at the end reminds me of my beloved manitoba...when i was in high school there i had a pentecostal friend who had that scripture written on every one of her note books...she was not afraid of the gospel and it sure put me down to size...i wasn't a christian then but i felt so smug that i was going to sunday school and gospel meetings every sunday...just like that guy in the bible who despised the publican who knew he was a sinner needing forgiveness...well!..here i wasn't even saved and that saved girl mavis decker didn't have to say a word to me...she LIVED it and had that verse written out and she was not even smug!...
i have enjoyed your posts saija and now i will get that bernie in here!...to read that devotional!..love terry

hey saija...i looked up the meaning of the word "relevant" and what a great meaning in regard to your post and the bible;
"closely connected or appropriate to the matter at hand."

we just read the devotional and here is what the last words were saija..."may the word of god dwell richly, in my heart, so that all may see i triumph only through his power"...
how great is that saija?? perfect timing. eh?...love terry

Saija, I have enjoyed all your tidbits, though I would hardly call them that. All I can say to today's post is a hearty "AMEN!"
Blessings!

you guys have encouraged me with your comments ... and tho' i was sort of leary about what i was going write (you know, the pressure of it all!) - i believe GOD had me put down the things HE was speaking to me about ... ...cool, if you all were on the same wave length on some of the posts! we are one in the Spirit ... we are one in the Lord ... blessings all around!

I have enjoyed reading your tidbits Saija. The photos you posted were also beautiful. It was great to connect with you this way. I love your humble and gentle heart as reflected in your words!

I ditto Lidia.
You are wise, stubborn, yet humble at the same time. I've learned so much from you.
Only thing that worries me is that even though the Bible is available to most of us, I just read about a school in the U.S.A. where a student was forbidden to read his Bible in the "free reading time". How far away from God our nations have drifted. and we let it happen. "How can they believe, if they aren't taught?"

leo and i like to have bibles everywhere and we like to give them as presents whenever we can ... the WORD is soooo important, isn't it!!! and i read that same story Felisol, about that boy being told he couldn't read his bible ... how did we get to that point indeed?

you know what aaija.....the man that was down for our special gospel meetings used to visit the russian prisons...he told us that one time he will never forget...he was in the worst prison in russian in siberia and he visited a man that was in a deep pit, a man who was chained from head to feet so that he could hardly even move and that man told him..."i hope that you can thank the man that gave me a bible...i am saved and i know that the only way i will get out of this pit is when the lord comes to get me!..bernie suggested that the lord is leaving him there to do a work with the guards, eh?...that prisoner will surely meet some of THEM in heaven...i have loved this post so much saija and the words that the sisters have added...love terry

Such a good message Saija! We have God's Word at our fingertips with the opening of His Good Book, or the click of a mouse.
