I want to end my time with the Tidbit box with a few more tidbits. Actually, these are not mere tidbits but morsels...big, juicy, sink . your . teeth . into . them morsels!
The Lord said that we do not live by bread alone but by every word that comes from the mouth of God. Every Word! Delicious truth!
morsel - a bite, a mouthful... something very appetizing, of high quality and much desired.
Oh, doesn't that describe the Word of God so well? When we desire His Word, this high quality Truth, our spirit man is nourished, satisfied, and strengthened. Natural food has this affect on these frail human shells as His spiritual food does on our born again spirits. How we need to ingest His Word! We shouldn't read just a portion of scripture as if a daily duty. We should desire it, long for it, literally crave it as an addict does a drug. The world has its addictions and none are good or of lasting value. But His Word will last forever and will continue to keep our spirits alive forevermore!
Morning, noon, and night take His Word! Receive it as a medicine to save, heal, deliver, and restore! Taste it...savor it...and yes, overindulge in it! For you cannot really overindulge. The more you take it in, the more you grow, and not with a bigger physical body, as with food! Rather, with a bigger spirit, a greater capacity to love as He has called us to love; a bigger capacity to love Him and know Him so we can be all He has called us to be.
We cannot live more than a few days without water. We have the Living Water inside us if we believe! An eternal life-giving well springing up and filling us over and over again!
Yes, we can eat, drink, and be merry if we feed on the Living God!! Hallelujah and Amen!
Love,
Sandy

What truth! His Word is Life...His Life is a spring of water springing up inside believers..renewing, restoring, refreshing....His Word is alive and brings Life to all it touches! Amen & hallelujah!
Oh dear Sandy, how I loved the way you ended your tidbit sharing with more than just tidbits, but chunks... of life-giving truth. We can not be overfed with God's word, unless it is stored merely in the mind and never gets digested as nourishing truth - it becomes hard, intellectual information.
It was such a blessing to join you in your Tidbit adventure. Thank you for taking time to share!

dear sandy did you leave the best til the last like the lor jesus did at the wedding?....so good but why end it so soon?...your posts have just been delightful!
about the bread iEcclesiastes 11:1
"Cast thy bread upon the waters: for thou shalt find it after many days...i really like tha verse."
we may sow the seed and tell people that jesus is the bread of life and pray that they will be saved....
about the morsel, never will i forgret when i was just a little sinner going to sunday school and we children did a little skit for the parents....we all had a special thing to say...my name was mr. sin and i always shudder when i think what i had to say in the poem,.".sin."..i roll it as a sweet morsel under my tongue...i am so glad that like you said here, we can roll the good word of the lord under our tongue and have nothing but enjoyment with the lord!
when you speak of the water springing up and filling us, and overflowing i must say that one of my favourite hymns sung by greater vision is the song about the woman at the well,,,the title is.."i asked him for water, he gave me the WELL!...
sandy i have s enjoyed your posts and i will remind myself to go back to reading your blog!...love terry.........
I came to Jesus, I was thirsty and dry;
Nothing could tame this longing of mine.
For a small drink of water is all I would ask,
But He gave me something He knew would last.
For up from my soul came a river of life,
A spring of salvation that shall never run dry;
This story of mercy is now mine to tell,
I asked him for water, He gave me the well.
It's hard to believe that I'm part of his bride,
For no-one could ever feel more worthless than I;
For years I've been searching for life giving source,
But I did not find one 'till I found the Lord.
For up from my soul came a river of life,
A spring of salvation that shall never run dry;
This story of mercy is now mine to tell,
I asked him for water, He gave me the well.
I am not familiar with this hymn, Terry, but the words here are wonderful. I will try to find the song on You Tube.Thanks everybody for your kind words.
Love,
Sandy
There's an old song...drinking at the springs of Living Water.... happy now am I, my soul is satisfied...drinking at the springs of living water, a wonderful and bountiful supply.... That's how I think of God's WOrd...a boundless, endless supply of water to quench my thirsty soul...admittedly, there are times when I allow myself to thirst too long. Thanks for this post. :)
I was thinking of the same song as Deb. Living Water. Oh, and Chunks .. lots of big chunks of Bible to be devoured .. life sustaining.
Hallelujah and Amen!
