Just Salad?

After a long and tiring day at Ikea, I didn't feel much like making a fancy meal. Actually, I felt more like having a pizza delivered, but I took one for the team and threw together a salad.
I don't think it's what Ms Apron had in mind, especially after all the meals she's been witness to. Oh, by the way....she'd like Donna to lighten up on using the symbols...♪♫♥♦♪►◄↕☼...you're starting to make her dizzy.
So, she sat her fairly large bohunkus ( she can't help it, she's had way to much good food on her journey) on my counter and anticipated something really scrumptious coming her way.

SURPRISE!!

Not tonight my fine floral friend. Tonight we eat salad!

So, here's what my tired self threw together. A semi/sort of Greek salad. Made with love from what ever I could find in the refrigerator and cupboard.

Her whining about the aroma of the Feta cheese was really starting to annoy me. OK, it's not my "smell of the day" either, but it sure tastes good! Next I threw in a can of tuna...and called it dinner. I was out of olives...my favorite, that will teach me to keep my cupboard stocked.

Here's to you Ms. Apron...may your hips become slimmer and may the aroma of Feta Cheese be always at your back!

NOTE:

I forgot that I was asked what was inside my Ikea bag...here's the contents.

1. Cloudberry Jam

2. Lingonbery Jam

3. Candles that smell out of this world good...like fresh berries!

4. A gift certificate

5. Swedish Almond Cake....I really need to know how to make this cake

Feta cheese smell wonderful, the real one, with goat milk from Greece. We only get "Feta"cheese made from cow milk, I feel cheated every time.
How lucky Miss Apron is, if she get treated with the real thing.
Sun reaped tomatoes instead of our hothouse, tasteless things, garlic, olive oil, olives, cucumber, mmmmmm.
I so do want to go south, just for the flavors.
Do we never get to see what's in your Ikea bag???

I love Greek Salad but I can't like those Olives! You look beautiful wearing our Apron.
I need to take a trip to Ikea and try those candles.

I'd never guessed you bought Swedish food in America. In Norway IKEA is mostly about furniture and all kinds of interior items.
But cloud berry jam and whipped cream taste just wonderful.

I'm taking it that a bohunkus is a large backside in Hungarian (yes/no;)

I love that word and will have to add it to my vocab:)

The salad LOOKS so yummy ... and, yes, the olives would have been a nice touch (even if Trish would pick them out;)

So ... please explain cloudberry jam ... I've never tried or even heard of it.

Miss Apron is so spoiled ... AND she looks fabulous gracing your beauty ... hugs and thanks for a wonderful post ... and for letting us all know what you bought at IKEA.

Hugs
