Dear sisters , I seek your wise and godly counsel as my spirit is disquieted within me.
My Dad 's elder brother 's widowed wife is Aunt Virginia. She is 80 plus, infirm, invalid and needs 24 hr assistance. She doesn 't have any children. She has day and night helpers who take care of her needs - 2 women and a house help.
Aunt V had alienated herself from all her relatives years ago. Her attitude and actions just turned off everybody. We were the only one' s who were good to her and Uncle and assisted and helped them and went the second mile for them. But they were always very mean to us. I cannot even describe the ways they hurt us and tried to harm us, more so after they retired.
Aunt Virginia depends on a certain Mr & Mrs P. to help her in many ways, and they do good work I am happy. But I came to know that Mrs P speaks to her quite rudely and her night helper -Sita too.
I feel bad about this but I can 't confront these women because Mrs P is a very contentious and foul mouthed woman, I can 't stand up to her verbal assaults ( she is a Christian mind you) -she will kill me in an instant. And if the night helper leaves then Aunt V will be all alone. Night helpers are hard to get.
Aunt V also is a very difficult person to deal with Her helpers say she drives them crazy, which I know is true.
Although I feel emotionally and spiritually disturbed I cannot do anything about it.I can only do what ever I can for Aunt V and leave the rest to God.
I can only commit Mrs P and the night helper Sita in God' s hands as talking with them will only worsen the situation. And Aunt V will also not sympathize with me - this has happened before. Once she was hospitalized and the helpers she hired were not doing their duty properly, in fact I did all the hard work in the hospital- all alone.
One day the helpers were insulting Uncle and Aunty and I stepped in and confronted them. The helpers were very mean to me, and uncle and aunty supported them. No one will believe this!.
So the best thing would be to keep silent, pray and let God have His way.
Do pray for this situation, for Mrs P and Sita who is not a Christian.

Do remember me in prayer as I feel so weak at times.
I have no advice but I will pray for you, Amrita.
From what you have told us, I don't know what else you can do, and I don't think you are responsible for this aunt.
Amrita, my heart breaks as I read your post....know that you and Aunt V and everyone involved in this situation is in my prayers!
Oh Amrita...my heart hurts when another sister in Christ is in pain. I will be taking your need to the Lord in prayer, I will ask the He strengthen you, fill you with his peace and wisdom and to interceed in your situation.
Hugs...
Dear AMrita,
I do remember you.
You are kind of head of your family, and it must be tormenting to care, but not being able to do something about the situation.
Your aunt is after all lucky to have two people coming and looking after her.
Your aunt probably hasn't ever been happy, since she has kept offending people all of her life.
There's a good Swedish poem called "The Hedgehog",Where the poets says, "These needles I'm stinging out, have been stabbing myself before." Meaning that people who act aggressively for the most have been seriously wounded before.
Maybe it's to late to do something about the needles whicch have been pricking your aunt.
I nevertheless think it's great of you to care for her.
I will pray for all of the implicated.
Yours Felisol
dear amrita..i don't know what to tell you either. i remember when you were looking after aunt virginia that time she was in the hospital.
amrita, there just comes a time that you have to not take so much upon yourself and really rely on the lord...i had to do that two years ago when the care of mom and dad golden was all on gracie's and my shoulders. if it were not for the lord and his dear children praying for us, we surely would have had nervous break downs.
oh amrita..i feel so bad for this situation...pray pray pray
i feel sorry for your aunt too.
we will continue in prayer...love terry
My precious sisters thank you for your love and prayers. Just sharing with you made me feel better.
Later on talking with my mother and Sonia, I fel we do what we can for aunt and leave the rest in God 's hands. Most of her problems are of he r own making - she loves being miserable.
She is being well looked after and yet complains all the time - maybe that puts people off.
Thank you for your prayer suport - God is leading me towards the light.
Dear Amrita...some people are never satisfied, even though we try our hardest. You, my sister have a kind, loving heart. You put others first. I see Christ in you!
Your decision sounds right...God bless you for all that you do.
Praying...
Sadly this reminds me of our current situatin with Dave's father. He is a lonely, bitter man and dave's brother and his wife are worn out from dealing with him. Likewise, when my BIL confronted workmen for doing shoddy repairs in the upstairs bathroom, my FIL jumped down his throat! (He has been unable to go upstairs for a long time to even see for himself!) the latest is that now he has hospice care my BIL is trying to make financilly sound decisions and he's been accused of wanting the money for himself! It's pathetic really but what can you do? My FIL will be 84 and has always been a difficult man, barring Divine intervention he will never change.
I will be praying for you and your situation!
Hugs,
Connie
Amrita ... Please do not take her harsh words to heart. I am praying for you and your situation. May God give your ears/heart/mind extra mercy when dealing with these people. May he protect your emotional well being.

Thank you so much precious sister.
Thank you Connie for sharing too.
Tonight Sonia (my sister) and I took a dish of veg macaroni for Aunty, she was very hapy and immediately ate some of it. We are planning to take some fish curry and rice for her.
I spoke to the night nurse Sita and enquired about aunt v's food etc, she gave me a satisfying reply.
aw amrita!..it looks like already prayers are being answered for that poor soul! and for you!
love terry
praying with you and for you dear sister.
