trish sent this early valentines card to me and i am sure that she sent it to each sister. i think that it is just wonderful! and so i am posting it here and wishing each of my dear sisters a happy valentines day!..love terry
dear trsih..i am so glad that you sent this to me. you know, i had a different group singing "for god so loved the world" but when i found this one of jd sumner and the stamps, it so moved me, especially when they sang about the tears that filled the lord's eyes.that i changed to it. i thought about this all during the morning breaking of bread meeting, and i asked myself "why, he ever did this for me!" i have always loved the words of this old hymn,
"Here every bowel of our God With soft compassion rolls; Here peace and pardon bought with blood Is food for dying souls.
[While all our hearts and all our songs Join to admire the feast, Each of us cry with thankful tongues, "Lord, why was I a guest?
"Why was I made to hear thy voice, And enter while there's room; When thousands make a wretched choice, And rather starve than come?"]
'Twas the same love that spread the feast That sweetly forced us in Else we had still refused to taste, And perished in our sin."
have a blessed peaceful day dear andrea..i am always so happy to see you here!
