The Scarf Goes to Church

The scarf had a tremedous time yesterday worshipping the Lord in church! As did I, worshipping alongside my dear friend, Dawna. Dawna and her husband, Dave, have been praying recently about attending a different church from where they have been attending and consequently are gracing us with their presence at Bethel Life Worship Center. I'm trying to not get my hopes up about where they will end up for I know that it's all in God's hands, however....I can not tell you how marvelous it has been to have my friend there beside me...our voices blending together during worship just as they once did when we sang on the praise team at Lifeway. It makes my heart smile. God has blessed me with such a dear friend - a sister of my heart (who I tried desperately to convince to join us in this scarf adventure and since she didn't join in on her own, I'm dragging her in on my watch!)

Here we are --up close and personal!

Here are Olivia and Dawna sharing a scarf moment. Olivia had a great time draping it all over her head all morning....as evidenced by her "scarf hair!"

Here's Dawna with her husband, Dave and Dave's youngest son, Joey.

And here they are again....in a more serious pose. ahem.

Here's Olivia and the scarf with Miss Kris. Miss Kris is on our praise team and is one whom Olivia admires greatly. Olivia LOVES anyone who can sing...which is why she is so enthralled with Dawna as well! In fact, frequently, she falls asleep listening to one of Dawna's CDs. (Yes, Dawna has recorded CDs...and yes, they're awesome!)

Here's Olivia with Miss Elaine, one of the many dedicated children's workers who give of themselves each week to teach our kids all about the love of God. We love Miss Elaine! ....many Jewels are added to her heavenly crown as she gives of her time and talents each and every week!

And finally....here are Dawna and I posing one last time.

What an uplifting Sunday report.
I can see you people are having a good time together.
The scarf is involved in wonderful spiritual and friendship business.
That's the way to go.

The Scarf looks very happy. She's probably glad to be back to a real church instead of mine; where one wears pajama pants. I love how you wrap the Scarf around everyone in your life. I imagine that is how you share Jesus too.

After all this, there is only one thing to say: Have reverence for God, and obey his commands, because this is all that we were created for. ECCLESIASTES 12:13 TEV

I can't believe I haven't left a comment...I've read this several times and in my mind (or what's left of it) I have left a comment!
The scarf in these pictures is just the icing on the cake, so to speak. These pictures are all about the love of Jesus I see on the faces...the most beautiful faces in the world. If I were that scarf, and I could smile....I would!!

Dear Deb...This is such a happy post and it seems a happy Sunday with your friends and fellow workers and the scarf at your church.
I think that Dawna would be more than pleased to attend your church.
You are very wise though about leaving it between her and the Lord.
By the looks of it though I really do believe that she will be joining you guys!.
Such happy Christians!
..Love Terry
