The King of Soup

He says all he needs is his chef's hat. Here's Brillo Man. We've finally convinced him to pose with the scarf. It's Friday night and he's making soup. For he is, after all, the King of Soup. Olivia says, "Daddy's the King of Soup, Mommy's the Queen of Soup and I'M THE PRINCESS OF EATING SOUP!!" (I blacked out the microwave door to eliminate the very bright reflection from the flash...looks funky, but it works.)

Then we ALL had to pose with the scarf one last time....

Not the most flattering photos of any of us.....but...we had fun! I had just gotten out of bed after sleeping all day since I worked all night! In my jammies (again) posing with the scarf!

Well....I worked seven of the ten days that I had the scarf, so we didn't get to go on any grand adventures. Tomorrow, it's time to pack the scarf up and send it on it's next journey. It's traveling again...perhaps your direction?!?! Everyone watch your mailbox!

It's been an absolute joy to be a part of this Sisterhood. As those of you who have had the scarf have commented, I too, feel a great connection to each one of you as I touch the woven threads of our scarf. Mrs. Mac couldn't have come up with a better idea, nor chosen a better scarf. Fashioned with so many different threads of various colors and texture, woven together to make a beautiful thing....much like each one of us. The unlikeliness of women - from all over the world - coming together in one common bond - our love for the Lord and for each other. Truly, I have grown to love each of you more through this experience. Perhaps one day we'll all meet on this side of heaven, but if not, there's going to be one GRAND reunion in Gloryland!

Look for me there. I'll be the one wearing the scarf.

I greet the King of Soup. He looks to be a happy man, and sure must be with his nice family.
Here I go, drenched in flue, in my whole woolen underwear and envy a man who can walk around barefooted in his Bermudas midwinter.
Happiness comes in all variations.

I had done my turn working night shifts. That sure is a tough way of living anywhere in the world.
Guess don't want a rerun of that part of my life.
Well, health care wouldn't work if nobody was willing to take on the burdons.
Good luck to the three of you in the future.
From Felisol

There's nothing better than a bowl of steamy soup on a cold winters day! My Tomer doesn't cook...we'd be having Campbell's from a can.
Who will the Scarf meet next...I am anxious to see the next part of her journey.
Have loved your time with her!

So just what type of soup did the King make this time? I'm hungry right now ! ;) That little princess, Olivia, sure has some animated expressions in her photos (very beautiful)! The Queen needs her rest now and the scarf needs another journey before 'she's' threadbare ;) ... thanks for the lovely work/church/family journey with your sisters. Hugs,

This, like the others so far, has been a great scarf journey. Every picture (except where you are sleeping) shows such joy, I just love it! There hasn't been a boring adventure yet, of course I haven't gotten it yet either!
To end it with a home made bowl of soup made by Brillo Man is the perfect send off. This scarf has been around a lot of love, and good food!

I didn't say I'd be wearing THE scarf....I just said 'the' scarf!

And yes, Brillo Man is an excellent cook. He makes great soups among other things. Today he made meatloaf, potatoes and lima beans. Delicious!

Oh...and in Gloryland...we ALL get to wear the scarf because we can each have our own! So there!
