New Life For a Fallen flower

last week bernie and i made our usual trek to walmart, as we were leaving the store, i spotted a flower attached to green leaves on the floor...people were tracking over it and it made my heart sad...not caring who was looking, i stooped down and picked it up..in the car we had a burger king cup in which i put water into and just put that little flower into that cup and home we went...
that little wilted flower sure looks in dreadful shape, eh?
well perhaps the bright sun and the water would bring back a little life!
and SO it did[a little].
in fact, its little face was actually glowing! albeit those leaves still looked a lot to be desired! unbeknown to me, bernie who goes out early every morning to water the flowers and feed the birds took pity on my plant..he knows that i am not a green thumb and if i looked after that flower mush longer, it would surely die and so this is what he did.....he put some soil into an old teapot that mom golden had given to us years ago and gently planted the little plant into it.
with tender hands, he gently took away the dead leaves and already this gave the little flower new life.
and to top it all off...just look at the new friend that the little flower has and come the next few days by the looks of the buds on the plant...well there will be many more friends added and so that bernie will have to transplant them into a bigge [rmuch bigger] planter!
and so with bernie's faithful care and the green watering can and god's caring that it would live again, that flower will have a good summer! here are a few verses that i thought of when i considered this come to life flower.
Alas! the bible does tell us that earthly flowers will decay, but when the lord reaches down to pick us sinners up, he cleanses them with his blood and so we will never die and no one can pluck us out of his hands.....we will live forever and i am just hoping that there will be flowers in heaven that will never die!..............love terry

Only you, our tenderhearted sister... would stoop, to pick up a broken piece of a flower and try to save it. You and our Bernie are shining examples of Jesus...look at that flower...saved and growing from love. Grace is a beautiful thing.

Terry´s walk with Jesus shows in the tiniest details and the grand view. I so love the story of this rose, wretched, but saved. The amazing grace. Grace upon grace. Such a marvelous illustration. Not only to make me understand these words, but it´s Terry´s true nature to bend down and pick up what other people may pay no attention to. That´s how we met. a big loud mouth and a vulnerable, but brave lady from Canada. To live like our Lord and walk in is footsteps without even mentioning it, that´s my rose-saving Terry.

I agree with the other comments...only you and Bernie would rescue a poor little flower. You make me reexamine myself and that's always a good thing. You are loved just like you loved that little flower. The is one of the most beautiful posts I have read.

Simply beautiful, dear Terry! Brought tears to my eyes. Do show us a photo of it again soon... I would love to see how it is doing. By the way, did Bernie put a hole at the bottom of the teapot? If not, he must take care not to overwater it, or the roots of the plant could drown.
