It's been four years since our precious sister, Arlene went home to be with the Lord. I miss her and think of her often, and know she touched many of our lives.
Her daughter, Amber wrote a loving tribute to her Mom today on her blog. Please go over and read it and enjoy the beautiful pictures.
The love of God and his grace lives on in Amber and her children. We can leave no greater legacy.

Wow .. our little merry gang has been around for quite some time now. Thank you Pat for posting about Arlene. I never met her, but she always left such encouraging comments and her life reflected her love for the Lord. Thank you for sharing the link.
I never had the privilege of meeting Arlene, but all that I have heard of her assures me that she was a mighty woman of God who lived her faith with passion and commitment. My heart and prayers are with each of you who knew her and feel the pain of her absence but await with joy the time you see her again.
I've never met Arlene either, but I have prayed for and with her, so we were connected across the sea. When she died, my Mom had just had a severe stroke and been brought back to life and mobility as through a wonder. Now my Mom probably is facing her last months on earth. We do live in the moment, but with eternity within reach. As should we do always. We are fed by daily manna and that has to be enough now as it was to Arlene. Everything else we have left to God and we are praying for his mercy and strength.
Arlene carried a torch where we all can light our own torches.
Blessings to her family. Blessings to the sisters who have kept together these years. Oh, I also have prayed some days now particularly for the Holy Sister Bible to reappear. God has his eyes on his words, and he knows the Bible meant a bond of strength between us sisters. He will not let us down or let the Sister Circle become broken.

dear miss patty..we certainly do miss arlene...i remember the first time i ever saw her was when she commented on your blog..i immediately went to her own blog and met her for myself.
right away almost, she came to my blog and told me that she was praying for dad golden that he would be saved...she had a heart of gold and she was so kind as she visited the poor and brought the gospel to not only them but also to the prisoners which she and her sweet husband visited in the jails...i know that her friends followed her on her journey as she fought the battle of cancer..i really thought that the lord would heal her and it was such a sad day for everyone when the lord called her home..a happy day for her though, eh?
thank you miss patty for never forgetting her and thank you trish and miss patty for taking us to the graveyard where arlene is resting until the day that he will come and take her and all of us to heaven.
1 Thessalonians 4:17
Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.
Pat -
Loving tributes often bless many who never even met the person. Sounds like Arlene was one of those people.
Blessings to you ...Marsha
Catching up on our blog....my studies have kept me away. I remembered that February was the anniversary of Arlene's homecoming....and shed tears this evening as I read her daughter, Amber's blog. Not of sadness...but of sweet joy, as I think of the legacy Arlene left behind. I pray that the legacy I leave will be as powerful and memorable and Spirit-filled. Thanks for taking us to Amber's blog, Pat.
