Hi From England

Hi Everyone,

I wanted to get here to post a little about myself today as the holiday season has been busy. Also my little grandson was admitted to hospital a couple of days ago after he got hold hold of some Yankee Candle Diffuser and tried to drink some! A concerning time for us all but the Lord is faithful and hears our prayers.  Here is a photo of Taio James playing in the sand at Bournemouth beach in September last year. He had great fun!

As I work full time I do not get as much time to get on line these days.I also am committed to reading through the bible in a year and also doing a bible study with some friends. And I am also in a book club and reading a book for this too!

About me.....I live in England and I am an RN. I have been a nurse since I was 18 years old and I LOVE my job!

I have two daughters and grandchildren. I grew up in a small village called Honington in Suffolk and I know these names of places will sound strange to you all! I later moved to Bury St Edmunds when I started my nurse training and I was born at the hospital I trained at! I had both my daughters at the West Suffolk General Hospital.

This is a photo of Lauren one of my grandchildren whose mother is Laura my older daughter.

I  attended Sunday School in a Methodist church and later the Church of England churches. I will be back to share my testimony with you all and God has been so good and so faithful and has truly taken me through tough times.I have not always liked the doors He has closed or the ones He opened but I know He does indeed know best! I am so thankful for all the rich blessings He has bestowed upon me!
I am so glad He never gave up on me!

For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the Lord, thoughts of peace, and not of evil,to give you an unexpected end.
Jeremiah 29:11

I am so happy that the Lord led me to this wonderful blog and has given me the opportunity to have Christian fellowship and to grow! What a fantastic opportunity to meet people from all over the world! I have LOVED having the bible and will be sending this out to the next lady to receive the bible. I pray you will be as blessed as I have been!

A photo of me on a day out in the country.

I am looking forward to getting to know Sisters of The Travelling Scarf so much better and how wonderful it would be for me to join you all in your next meet up with each other! This would be so exciting! God is able!

I would just like to share my favourite bible verses.

Trust in the Lord with all thine heart:and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct thy paths.
Proverbs 3:5-6

Nice meeting you, Linda.
How great that your first testimony was about your grandson being saved after drinking "Yankee Candle Diffuser".
God must love grandchildren as well as prayers. Lidia's grandson, Mrs. Mac's granddaughter and now your Taio James being miraculously healed in a year.
I love testimonies about our God Almighty.

Hi Linda,
Of course I can't say that it's nice to meet you because we have been reading one another's blogs for a while now! It was good to hear a word from you though since you aren't able to blog as much since working full time. I enjoyed your post today and am thrilled to hear of your grandson's rescue by the Lord!

I am praying the Lord will open that door for you and make provision for your travel. It would thrill my soul if all of us could meet face-to-face! I can't wait to read your future posts! I love you my sister!

Many hugs..........

Linda, I enjoyed reading this post. It contained a lot of important details that helped me get to know you more.

England is one of my favorite countries in the world. The reason for this is that the pastor of the church I attended when I was a new Christian was British - his name was Philip Holder, and his wife was Margaret. They ministered to us with humility and genuine acceptance, and they were such great examples of Christlikeness. An overseas missionary fellowship staffer, names Richard Dowsett was also a great missionary at the time I was learning more about being a true CHrist follower. A dear British lady missionary named Nora Rimmer and I did Bible studies among the urban poor when I was in university. And a wonderful missionary man name Jo Laville was also such an inspiration to many of us who sat under his mentoring lessons in discipleship. For many years, I had asked God to give me a British person for a husband. Well, it was not to be, but now you understand why England will always have a special place in my heart.

Looking forward to reading more of your posts here.

Love
Lidia
