I didn't get to make pictures with four of my family members with Miss Scarf. So, I thought I would just post some pictures so you all could 'meet' them as well.

This is my nephew, Jared, with his daughter Allyson. This picture was taken in April just before Jared reported for his jail term. Allyson LOVES riding the tractor with Daddy! I am so proud of what the Lord is doing in Jared's heart while he is incarcerated. I cannot wait to see what God has in store for Jared once his time is served. At this point, we expect him to be released the week before Thanksgiving.

This is my brother-in-love, Ricky. He is Charlotte's hubby and is a pastor as well as the electrical inspector for the State of TN for this district. This picture was taken in Clear Lake, IA while they were visiting with Katie and her family last summer. He has that 'man on a mission' look, don't you think?!
Ricky just returned from Ecuador and has so many wonderful stories of meeting new friends and renewing old acquaintances. He preached at the largest Protestant church in Quito while there and was amazed at how open the people there are to the Holy Spirit.

This picture was taken in the Great Smoky Mountains of East TN in June, 2005. This is me with Momma and Daddy. Momma went home to be with Jesus the next April. She was already very sick at this time, but pushed on because that was her nature. I cannot recall a single time in my life when Momma put herself first. My sisters and I, Daddy and her extended family and her church family always came first. She was a truly amazing lady. I love her and miss her more every day.

This is my precious husband, Terry. This picture was taken on March 8, 2008; about ten months before he went home to be with Jesus. You can already see how tired he looks. We had a birthday party for Terry, Caleb and Allyson at our house. Allyson's birthday is Feb. 17, Caleb's is Mar. 6 and Terry's was Mar. 7. So, we combined them all and had one party on March 8.
Terry loved having all of our family there, but was so sick. By the end of the evening, he could barely walk due to exhaustion. Yet, he never complained; not would he allow me to tell our family how sick he was that night. He didn't want it to spoil their fun.
Well, that is the 'remainder' of my family! They are precious to me, every last one of them! Momma and Terry now await the rest of us in heaven. As new ones are added, we pray diligently that our family circle will not be broken in heaven.
Thank you all for being here for me; for loving me and praying for me. I you each and every one!

oh diane...you have a wonderful family even the ones that have already gone to heaven, terry and your momma
and even jared who looks like such a loving young man.
and i feel bad that you are feeling ill too.
i can tell because i don't see you in the usual spots being a comfort to those who need the comfort that you can give....those who are going through the same valley.
i am so glad that you posted these and i am telling you, miss scarf will miss you and so will we miss your stories and pictures....love terry
wow! do you ever look like momma!
Dear Diane,
I was thinking of encouraging you to tell more about your precious family and also let us learn more about this beautiful part of the world.
And that's just what you have done.
I would consider it a pleasure to learn even more.
You are a good guide and an interesting teacher.
I can sense the love you have for each and everyone in your large family.
Your Jared is a beautiful looking young man. I hope God has much good in store for him. Look how gently he's holding his precious daughter.
Your b-i-l sure looks energetic and ready for most challenges.
Good that he is on God's side!
Your parents so huggable all Americans, you must miss your mother a lot.
I can see that your husband Terry is tired but also strong willed.
He fought the good fight and will always be a part of you even if he's resting with Jesus just now.
I hope you take time to grief, that's for the best. There is a time for everything.
God will give you strength when it's time to move on.
For now; have a blessed time in the wonderful home you and Terry have created.
Hope to be hearing more from you.
From Felisol
It seems that Scarf just found a way to stay with you a little longer...so that we could enjoy some more pictures and stories of your family life. Fantastic. These days I am checking just a few blogs as I have been busy with a move and also the 'goings on' of friends and family, but I like to check back here even if I don't have time to write much...I am glad I did!! Feel better soon.
A beautiful farewell! I enjoyed meeting your family and touring Tenn.
Hugs,
I am SO glad I "met" you and that you have shared a little bit of your life with us. It's been fun seeing your stomping grounds and meeting your family. You are one precious lady and friend to us all!
Love, Connie
