Off and Running .... Greetings From Idaho

Today was the 'sisterhood scarf's' maiden voyage. So, along with Mrs. Mac, it journeyed to 'the center of the universe'. At least that's the town of Wallace, Idaho's tourist trademark ... albeit a name they gave themselves having no way to disprove this fact. Nonetheless, a good lure to get folks to pull off the I-90 for a closer look. Located in the panhandle of north Idaho, we were just a few miles from the Montana border and several wintertime ski areas. This historic town also boasts being the setting for the 1997 Hollywood movie called Dante's Peak. The outing was a perfect crisp fall day with blazing autumn foliage scattered along mountainsides shared with a thick forest of alpine trees. Mr. Mac, son-in-law Ryan, and my grandson Jacob were my escorts. We enjoyed lunch downtown, and I especially favored the nap on the way home.

Stay tuned for the next stop!

"The outing was a perfect crisp fall day with blazing autumn foliage scattered along mountain sides shared with a thick forest of alpine trees."....gee, that almost sounds like a line right out of a book.

And what a quaint little town! It looks like a place that I would love to shop!

You look fabulous in the scarf!

Can't wait to try it on myself!

I loved my trip to Wallace, the scenery is beautiful! That scarf is almost as long as you are tall, I can only imagine how it will fit me...of course this is the "traveling scarf" so I'm expecting it to make me look tall and slim!
This was a great idea!

Dear Mrs. Mac,
I feel set to the towns of the Wild West. Must have seen a couple of hundreds of them.
But where are Clint Eastwood, the horses and the crooks hiding behind a curtain?
Gotta show these pics to my Mom. She's watching reruns of Bonanza every week-end.
Cool start.

Lovethe benchmark photo. I "collect" benchmarks --part of of geocaching adventures.

word verification for this post was "deted" --the same frontwards and backwards --any way you look at it...much to be read between the lines there.

Thanks for the geocaching info Deb. I've heard the 'word' before ... but never gave its meaning a second thought. We can treat the traveling scarf as a type of 'travel bug' item, eh? When I get a chance, I'm going to delve into this ww game before we go on any nature hikes or bike trail rides.

Deb ... '...crisp fall day blazing ..' I am writing a book ... should I use that line ;) ...

Pat ... the scarf will, of course, make the wearer look tall and slim ;)

Felisol ... so you enjoy western towns ... perhaps Clint Eastwood will ride into Wallace on a horse some day.

sara ... yes, it does appear my hair has grown out rather fast ... exciting!

question....can we all post to this blog? I think there's a way to set up that we can....just checking!

....anxiously awaiting the scarf. At times, my life is uneventful, so I may have to come up with some great event to go along with my time with the scarf --unlike Connie who has many upcoming events in the works! Don't worry, I'll come up with something...with Brillo Man's help!

Dear Mrs. Mac,
this overachiever has had a loved visitor (only daughter) and a 'pewter crash this week end. I have in between collapses received lovely mails on the e-mail.
Sweet, dear Mrs. Mac, can you in very plain English spell out what you want me to do. (where to sign up, e.t.c.)
Hope it is not something with a key-word linked to it. I'm still trying to mend the music list my daughter helped me download.
In vain.
For a moment I had four lists installed at the same blog.
Quadriphonia in my kitchen.
