Margie, here is my favorite Punch recipe... 1/2 gal. rainbow sherbet 2 lg. bottles 7-Up 2 lg. cans frozen orange juice with water 4 small cans lemonade with water 1 can unsweetened pineapple juice
Mix together frozen juices and water, add pineapple juice then 7 Up. Lastly, add sherbet on top....Yum!
Margie, the recipe that Trish posted is awesome..we use it all the time! I highly recommend it! PS Dean is in charge of punch in our family, and he does a great job!
Simple, simple...sparkling drink that our family always has on special occasions.
Grape Juice and Ginger Ale
I prefer the grape juice to be more concentrated while other members of my family prefer to make it according to the directions on the can (oh, did I mention we use the frozen concentrate?) It's very tasty - even if you don't use it for your shower - try it sometime - it goes well with spaghetti - as I said, a tradition at our family gatherings - if there's homemade ravioli to be had - there MUST be grape juice and ginger ale!
These all sound delish. I think any punch with sherbert floating on top is great for a shower. Deb's is a good substitute for non alcholic 'wine' spritzers. I've even used white grape juice.
The 'Scarf Sisters' group is an international ambassador club made up of Christian women bringing friendship to one another through our shared faith in Christ. We are from different backgrounds, churches, countries, and social standings. Kindred spirits not bound by politics, race, or other realms that tend to divide people. As women of faith, we are attempting to live God's greatest commandment: "Hear O Israel, the Lord our God, the Lord is one. Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength.' The second is this: 'Love your neighbor as yourself.' There is no greater commandment greater than these." From Mark 12:28-31 (NIV)
We live in a fallen world that could use a good dose of cheer. Within the pages of this blog, we hope to offer laughter, comfort and friendship as we travel life's journey together.

Margie, I was going to look but you did so good with this one. Mrs. Jim makes one similar.
She uses the Diet 7Up or Sprite but some people can't or won't tolerate the chemicals. We all do.
A few lemon and lime rhines and some marchino cherries help to pretty it up. I don't think she uses rainbow for the sherbet either.
..
Trish's recipe is the one I use also....and it is indeeed yummy!!

Another variation, served at our wedding:
2 liter bottle 7 up or Sprite
2 liter bottle club soda
Big can apricot nectar
1 can frozen lemonade concentrate
Orange sherbert
Mix the first 4 ingredients in the punch bowl. Float scoops of sherbert on top.

THANK YOU!!!!
